#1584 Wordle Answer and Hints for 2025-10-20 - LIMBO
Date: 2025-10-20
Hi! I'm a Wordle fan from China. Here's my Wordle strategy for 2025/10/20. I like to open with SHOUT and ALIKE - together they cover all five vowels and several useful consonants.
Good start! From ALIKE I learn that L, I are in the word (yellow), and from SHOUT I get O (yellow). So I have three letters to work with: L, I, and O. This suggests the word might have multiple vowels.
Next I try LOGIC to test new consonants while trying to place the known letters. This is excellent! LOGIC locks L in position 1 (green).
Progress is getting better! I try LIBOR to test B and attempt to place I and O better. This gives me great information: I is correctly positioned at position 2 (green), and both B and O are present but misplaced. The pattern is now LI___ with B and O somewhere in the remaining positions.
With LI_ _ _ confirmed and knowing B and O are in the word, I try LIMBO. This perfectly places all the remaining letters - I in position 2, M in position 3, B in position 4, and O in position 5.
Answer found: LIMBO - solved in 5 guesses! LIMBO refers to a state of uncertainty or being between two stages, often used in contexts like 'limbo dance' or 'being in limbo'. The key breakthrough was using LOGIC to lock L at the start and LIBOR to confirm the LI pattern.
