#1592 Wordle Answer and Hints for 2025-10-28 - HOLLY
Date: 2025-10-28
Hi! I'm a Wordle fan from China. Here's my Wordle strategy for 2025/10/28. I like to open with SHOUT and ALIKE - together they cover all five vowels and several useful consonants.
Good start! From ALIKE I learn that L is in the word (yellow). From SHOUT I get H and O are in the word, with O correctly positioned at position 2 (green) and H present but not in position 1. So I have L, H, and O to work with, suggesting a word with O as the second letter.
I try BOOMY to test new consonants while attempting to place the known letters. This is fantastic - O locks in position 2 (green), and Y locks in position 5 (green). The pattern is now now _O___Y with L and H somewhere in the remaining positions.
I try LOCKY to test new consonants and better place the known letters. This reveals that L is not in the first position and all other consonants miss. For the next round, I'll try H in the first position.
Answer found: HOLLY - solved in 5 guesses! HOLLY is a type of evergreen shrub with glossy leaves and red berries, often used as Christmas decoration. The key breakthrough was using BOOMY to lock in O at position 2 and Y at position 5, which narrowed down the possibilities significantly.
