#1594 Wordle Answer and Hints for 2025-10-30 - LATHE

Hi! I'm a Wordle fan from China. Here's my Wordle strategy for 2025/10/30. I usually open with ALIKE and SHOUT - together they cover all five vowels and several useful consonants. However, today ALIKE already gave me two great vowels, so I decided to skip SHOUT and explore other options.

Excellent start! From ALIKE I learn that A and L are present (yellow), and E is correctly positioned at position 5 (green). This is fantastic information - I already have the ending letter locked in with just one guess! The pattern is now ____E with A and L somewhere in the first four positions.

Since ALIKE already gave me two vowels (A and E), I decided to try BRAVE instead of SHOUT to test new consonants and better position the A. This shows that A is present but not in position 3, and introduces new consonant possibilities. The pattern remains ____E with A and L somewhere in the word.

I try DACKS to test new consonants and see if I can better position A. This is excellent! DACKS locks A in position 2 (green). Now I have the pattern _A___E with L somewhere in the remaining positions. This is significant progress!

With A locked at position 2 and E at position 5, I try LAUGH to test placing L at the start and introduce new consonants. This is fantastic - L locks in position 1 (green), and we also discover H is present (yellow). The pattern is now LA__E with H somewhere in the remaining positions.

I felt this word wasn't in my vocabulary, so I used the word finder tool on this site to help narrow down the possibilities and locked in on LATHE. Answer found: LATHE - solved in 5 guesses! LATHE is a machine tool used for shaping wood, metal, or other materials by rotating it against a cutting tool. The key breakthrough was using DACKS to lock A at position 2, then LAUGH to establish the LA__E pattern with H confirmed as present, which made finding the final solution straightforward.
