#1602 Wordle Answer and Hints for 2025-11-07 - PERIL
Date: 2025-11-07
Hi! I'm a Wordle fan from China. Here's my Wordle strategy for 2025/11/07. I like to open with ALIKE and SHOUT - together they cover all five vowels and several useful consonants.
Good start! From ALIKE I learn that L, I, and E are in the word (all yellow). SHOUT misses completely, which is fine - it helps eliminate common consonants. So I have L, I, and E to work with, suggesting a word with these letters positioned somewhere.
Next I try WINDY to test new consonants while attempting to place the known letters. This is actually not very helpful - it only tells me that I is not in position 2 (yellow), and eliminates W, N, D, Y completely. I still know L, I, and E are in the word, but need more information about their positions.
Great progress! I try BEGIN to test new consonants while attempting to place the known letters. This is fantastic - E locks in position 2 (green) and I locks in position 4 (green)! I also learn that B, G, and N are not in the word, which is very helpful elimination. The pattern is now _E_I_.
With the _E_I_ pattern confirmed, I try REMIX to test new consonants while maintaining the established pattern. This reveals that R is present (yellow) but not in position 1, and M, X are absent. Since R can't be in position 1, it must be in position 3 or 5. Combined with knowing L is also in the word from the first guess, I now know the pattern is _E_I_ and must contain both R and L.
Answer found: PERIL. PERIL means danger or risk of harm, often used in contexts like 'facing great peril' or 'being in peril'. The key breakthrough was using BEGIN to lock in the _E_I_ pattern and eliminate multiple consonants, then REMIX to confirm R's position, which made the final solution straightforward.
