#1609 Wordle Answer and Hints for 2025-11-14 - LURID

Date: 2025-11-14

Hi! I'm a Wordle fan from China. Here's my Wordle strategy for 2025/11/14. I like to open with ALIKE and SHOUT - together they cover all five vowels and several useful consonants.

A
L
I
K
E
S
H
O
U
T

Good start! From ALIKE I learn that L and I are in the word (both yellow), while A, K, and E are absent. From SHOUT I get U is also present (yellow) but not in position 4, while S, H, O, and T are absent. So I have L, I, and U to work with - three key letters that need proper positioning.

K
E
S
H
O
U
T
M
U
D
D
Y

Next I try MUDDY to test new consonants while attempting to place the known letters. This is excellent - U locks in position 2 (green) and D is confirmed present (yellow)!.

S
H
O
U
T
M

Y

U
C
I
D

Great progress! I try LUCID to test the remaining possibilities. This reveals that L, U, I, and D are all correctly positioned, but C is absent. Since I already know the pattern LU_ID is correct and C doesn't fit, I need to find a replacement for the middle letter.

U

R

Answer found: LURID - solved in 5 guesses! LURID means unnaturally vivid or harsh in color, often describing something shockingly bright or sensational. The key breakthrough was using LUCID to establish the LU_ID pattern and eliminate C, which made finding the final solution with R straightforward.
