#1653 Wordle Answer and Hints for 2025-12-28 - ABBOT

Hi! I'm a Wordle fan from China. Here's my Wordle strategy for 2025/12/28. I started with my usual opener ALIKE and SHOUT.

From ALIKE I got a great start - A was correct in position 1! L, I, K, and E were all absent. SHOUT was revealing - O was present but not in position 3, T was correctly placed in position 5, and S, H, U were all absent!

Third guess ROBOT was strategic to test O's position and new letters. Excellent results! O, B, and T were all correctly placed in positions 3, 4, and 5! R was absent. Now I had the pattern A_BOT with three letters locked - A in position 1, O in position 3, B in position 4, and T in position 5!

Fourth guess ADBOT tested D in position 2. A, B, O, T were all confirmed correct, but D was absent! This narrowed it down - the answer must be A_BOT where the second letter was something other than D.

Answer found in 5 guesses! ABBOT refers to the head or superior of a monastery - like the Abbot of a monastery in medieval times! The key was systematically testing each letter position. Once ROBOT locked in O-B-T at the end, and eliminating D with ADBOT, I realized B needed to be doubled in position 2!
