#1663 Wordle Answer and Hints for 2026-01-07 - PECAN

Date: 2026-01-07

Hi! I'm a Wordle fan from China. Here's my Wordle strategy for 2026/01/07. I started with my usual opener ALIKE.

A
L
I
K
E

From ALIKE I learned that A and E are present but not in positions 1 and 5 respectively. L, I, K were all absent.

Second guess PEARS was excellent - P and E are correct in positions 1 and 2 respectively! A is present but not in position 3. R and S were.

Third guess CUBED was informative! It confirmed that C is present but not in position 1.

Fourth guess MONEY narrowed things down! It showed that N is present but not in position 3. Combined with the previous information, now I had P, E in positions 1 and 2, with A, C, N still needing placement! All the five letters were identified now.

Answer found in 5 guesses! PECAN is a type of hickory tree that produces sweet, edible nuts often used in desserts like pecan pie! The key insight was using PEARS to lock in the P-E pattern at the start, then methodically testing the remaining letters A, C, N in the final three positions!
