Hi! I'm a Wordle fan from China. Here's my Wordle strategy for 2026/01/12. I started with my usual opener ALIKE and SHOUT.

From ALIKE I got great info! A and I are present but not in positions 1 and 2 respectively. Most importantly, I is correct in position 3! Second guess SHOUT revealed that T is present but not in position 5.

Third guess MANDY showed that A is present but not in position 2. M, D, and Y were all absent.

Fourth guess PRIMA was a breakthrough! R is correct in position 2! I is confirmed correct in position 3! A is present but not in position 5. Since A is not in positions 1, 2, 5, it must be in position 4! Now I had the pattern _IRA_ with T and L somewhere!

Answer found in 5 guesses! TRIAL refers to a formal examination of evidence in court, or a test of something's performance - like 'clinical trial', 'trial period', or 'on trial'! It can also describe trying something out! The key insight was getting I and R locked in positions 2 and 3 early with ALIKE and PRIMA. With A, L, T remaining for positions 1, 4, and 5, I tried the logical combination and TRIAL fit perfectly!
