#1672 Wordle Answer and Hints for 2026-01-16 - RACER

Hi! I'm a Wordle fan from China. Here's my Wordle strategy for 2026/01/16. I started with my usual opener ALIKE and SHOUT.

From ALIKE I learned that A and E are present. Second guess eliminated all letters - none of S, H, O, U, T were in the answer.

Third guess MANDY revealed that A is correct in position 2. M, N, D, and Y were all absent. Tough process! I had to try more letters.

Fourth guess PARER was a breakthrough! It confirmed the pattern _A_ER. Since another R is present but not in position 3, R must be in position 1! Now I had the pattern RA_ER with just one letter to figure out!

The answer could be RACER, RAGER, RAZER ect. I tried GRACE next to test C and G. It revealed C is present.

Answer found in 6 guesses! RACER refers to someone who competes in races, often in cars or horses - like 'Formula 1 racer' or 'horse racer'! The key insight was using PARER to lock in RA_ER, then testing C with GRACE to confirm its presence and finally deducing RACER as the only viable option!
