#1682 Wordle Answer and Hints for 2026-01-26 - FREAK

Hi! I'm a Wordle fan from China. Here's my Wordle strategy for 2026/01/26. I started with my usual opener ALIKE.

ALIKE reavealed that A, K and E are present. Since two vowels are present, I didn't test my another opener SHOUT this time.

Second guess MANDY revealed that A is not in position 2. M, N, D, and Y were all absent.

Third guess SHAPE revealed that A is Not in position 3. From previos guesses, A is not in position 1, 2, or 3, so A must be in position 4 or 5.

Fourth guess CUBED eleminated all letters - none of C, U, B, D were in the answer.

Fifth guess reavealed that F is correct in position 1. Now I had four letters: F, A, K and E. Letter E must be in position 2 or 3, and A must be in position 4 or 5. So there's possibly a EA pattern in the word.

Answer found in 6 guesses! FREAK means a person or thing that is unusual or extraordinary - like 'a freak of nature' or 'a freak accident'! The key insight was using ALIKE, MANDY, SHAPE, and CUBED to systematically identify all five letters (F, R, E, A, K) and their correct positions through elimination!
