Hi! I'm a Wordle fan from China. Here's my Wordle strategy for 2026/01/31. I started with my usual opener ALIKE.
Good start! A and L are correct in positions 1 and 2. I didn't test my another opener SHOUT this time.
Second guess ALOUD revealed that O is present but not in position 3. O must be in position 4 or 5.
Third guess MONOR revealed that O is correct in position 4. Now I had the pattern AL_O_.
Fourth guess revealed that T is correct in position 5. Now I had the pattern AL_OT with just one letter to figure out!
Answer found in 5 guesses! ALLOT means to distribute or assign something - like 'to allot time for a task' or 'to allot resources'! The key insight was using ALIKE, ALOUD, MONOR, and FIGHT to systematically identify A, L, O, T and their correct positions through elimination!
