#1688 Wordle Answer and Hints for 2026-02-01 - SPINY

Hi! I'm a Wordle fan from China. Here's my Wordle strategy for 2026/02/01. I started with my usual opener ALIKE and SHOUT.

Good start! From ALIKE I learned that I is correct in position 3. From SHOUT I learned that S is correct in position 1.

Third guess CRIMP revealed that P is present but not in position 5.

Fourth guess SPINS was a breakthrough! S, P, I and N are all correct in positions 1, 2, 3, and 4! Only last letter to figure out!

Answer found in 5 guesses! SPINY means 'covered with spines or thorns'! The key insight was using ALIKE, SHOUT, CRIMP, and SPINS to systematically identify S, P, I, N and their correct positions through elimination!
