#1691 Wordle Answer and Hints for 2026-02-04 - CHIDE

Hi! I'm a Wordle fan from China. Here's my Wordle strategy for 2026/02/04. I started with my usual opener ALIKE.

Great start! From ALIKE I learned that I and E are correct in positions 3 and 5. Since two vowels are correct, I didn't test my another opener SHOUT this time.

Second guess SHINE revealed that H is correct in position 2. Now I had the pattern _HI_E.

Third guess CHIME revealed that C is correct in position 1 and M is absent. Great! Only one letter to figure out!

Answer found in 4 guesses! CHIDE means to scold or criticize someone harshly - like 'to chide someone for their behavior'! The key insight was using ALIKE, SHINE, and CHIME to systematically identify C, H, I, D, and E and their correct positions through elimination!
