Hi! I'm a Wordle fan from China. Here's my Wordle strategy for 2026/02/18. I started with my usual opener ALIKE and SHOUT.
ALIKE revealed that L is present. SHOUT revealed that U is correct in position 4 and O is present.
Third guess LOGIC revealed that O and G are correct in position 2 and 3. L is present but not in position 1, so it must be in position 5. Now I had the pattern _OGUL. Just one letter to figure out!
Answer found in 4 guesses! MOGUL means a wealthy and influential person - like 'the mogul controlled the company'! The key insight was testing the _OGUL pattern to quickly identify the positions of all the letters.
